Believe it or not, I came up with this design by trying to replicate some organic chemistry line-angle structures in the crown of a stone. It performs pretty well, especially with the radial-symmetry pavilion to help break up the light. Works in materials from quartz to rutile (RI = 1.54 - 2.62) with no changes, but I prefer it in yellow YAG. Suggested size = 8-12 mm
