This comically simple design performs way better than you'd expect, given the fact that the crown is paper-thin and absurdly simple. It's a snap to cut, and should work incredibly well in a matched pair of earings because of how nice the tilt performance is. And even better, works in materials from fluorite to rutile (RI = 1.43 - 2.62), the FULL range of all available RIs for any gem material.
